This week’s discussion is on community perspectives on effective enforcement and how the community impacts the goals of law enforcement.  Include in your discussion references to community reaction to police in depressed neighborhoods and the dynamics that reaction plays.  Discuss how the community responds to governmental efforts to address terrorism both on the national stage and locally.  What sacrifices must be balanced against desired outcomes? e.g. greater infringements on personal liberties in exchange for increased levels of security.
